Lovely Day for a Walk!

What a glorious fall day it has been! We packed a delicious lunch, and headed off... first through Cabbagetown, and Riverdale Farm (again!), and up the Don Valley, a long ravine that runs north/south through the east central part of the city, from outer suburbs through the eastern edge of downtown, and on into Lake Ontario.

We headed forth for several km through the river valley, where many of the photos were taken, then crossed the river and headed south to the old Brickworks, which is now restored as a museum, bistro, nature preserve, farmers' market and event location. We have been by it hundreds of times since it opened a year and a half ago, but had never gone in. WOW! Beautiful, old industrial equipment and old graffiti still intact, in the midst of a largely restored natural setting.

There are far too many pics to show in one posting, but let's begin the journey tonight...

Tune in tomorrow, for more of the magical day!
